Alex Rios and A.J. Pierzynski both homered and had four hits to lead the Chicago White Sox to a 10-5 win over the Chicago Cubs in interleague action on Friday.

The game is the first of six meetings between the cross-town rivals. It featured four home runs, including three by the White Sox.

Jake Peavy (5-5) gave up two runs in seven innings, including Alfonso Soriano's two-run homer in the second. The home run was the 300th of Soriano's career.

Randy Wells (3-5) allowed five runs and 10 hits in five innings.

The White Sox have won three straight, matching their longest winning streak of the season.
The Sox broke open a 2-2 tie with three runs in the fifth, courtesy of a two-run Paul Konerko double and a RBI double by Pierzynski two batters later.

Pierzynski also hit a solo homer in the seventh, while Rios and pinch-hitter Carlos Quentin added solo home runs in a four-run eighth.

The Cubs scored three times in the eighth while trailing 10-2, but could get no closer.
