Cliff Lee pitched eight innings of four-hit ball and struck out 10 and Milton Bradley drove in three runs as the Seattle Mariners earned an 8-3 victory over the Los Angeles Angels on Friday night.
Jose Lopez hit just his second home run for the Mariners, who have won three in a row for the first time since April 19-21.
Lee (3-2) rebounded from his worst start of the season when he surrendered eight runs and 11 hits by cuffing the Angels. He allowed three runs -- two earned -- and never appeared in danger after allowing two runs in the first.
Seattle got to Angels starter Scott Kazmir (3-5) for six runs – five earned – on eight hits in 5 1/3 innings.
Eight of Seattle’s nine starters got hits as Lopez, Franklin Gutierrez and Ichiro Suzuki each had two apiece. Bradley capped the Mariners’ three-run third inning with a two-run single to left for the 3-2 advantage.
Lopez led off the fourth with a homer to left and the Mariners added two more runs each in the fifth and ninth frames
Torii Hunter and Kendry Morales brought in runs for the Angels in the first. Howie Kendrick added another run with a single in the fifth.
