Coco Crisp hit a two-run homer and singled in the go-ahead run, helping the Oakland Athletics to a 4-3 victory over the Seattle Mariners on Wednesday night.
In Oakland's sixth inning, Cliff Pennington hit into a fielder's choice and Rajai Davis scored, tying the things at 3. Crisp then singled in Matt Carson for what would stand as the winning run.
Crisp smacked his eighth homer, a two-run shot off Seattle starter Luke French, in the third inning.
Gio Gonzalez (14-8) won his fourth consecutive decision, allowing three runs on six hits in 6 2/3 innings. He had nine strikeouts and two walks. Andrew Bailey pitched a perfect ninth for his 21st save.
French (4-5) allowed four runs on seven hits in 5 1/3 innings with three strikeouts and two walks.
Russell Branyan hit a two-run homer, his 24th, in the first inning and Matt Tuiasosopo hit a solo homer in the third, giving Seattle a 3-0 lead.
