Danny Granger sank 16-of-16 free throws and scored 27 points to help the Indiana Pacers defeat the visiting Golden State Warriors, 109-100, on Tuesday.
Tyler Hansbrough added 14 points as Indiana (27-32) hit 32-of-36 from the line and improved to 10-5 under interim coach Frank Vogel.
Reggie Williams scored 25 points and Stephen Curry added 20 for Golden State (26-33), which lost its fourth straight game.
The Warriors pulled within 103-100 on Williams’ 3-pointer with 1:02 left. But Granger hit four free throws in a 10-second span and Darren Collison sank two more as Indiana held on.
Collison scored 13 points and Roy Hibbert and rookie Paul George tallied 12 apiece for the Pacers. Hibbert grabbed nine rebounds.
David Lee added 19 points and 11 rebounds for Golden State. Warriors leading scorer Monta Ellis had just 13 points on 5-of-16 shooting.
The Pacers led by as many as 13 points in the opening quarter and held a 36-25 lead after Hansbrough’s basket with 8:53 left in the first half. The Warriors dominated the next seven minutes with Williams scoring eight points during a 21-1 run that opened a 46-37 advantage.
Indiana regained the lead at 58-52 with an 11-0 third-quarter burst.
