Brandon Jennings recorded a triple-double with 20
points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists and Andrew Bogut added 14 points and
eight rebounds to lead the Milwaukee Bucks to a 98-88 victory over the
Charlotte Bobcats on Saturday.
Carlos Delfino chipped in 23 points and John Salmons finished with 14
for the Bucks, who earned their first win of the season after a pair of
road losses.
Milwaukee took control right from the start, jumping out to a 10-2
lead and holding a 27-18 edge after the first quarter. Bogut had eight
points in the first and Jennings, who finished 6-of-8 from the floor and
3-of-3 from beyond the arc, added five in the opening frame.
The Bobcats made it interesting in the fourth, pulling to within
88-82 with 3:04 left. But Jennings nailed a 3-pointer and Delfino scored
four points in the final 2:04 to put it away.
D.J. Augustin scored 26 points and Stephen Jackson poured in 23 for Charlotte, which fell to 0-3 to open the season.
