Dwyane Wade scored 28 points and matched a career high with five blocks as the host Miami Heat crushed the Memphis Grizzlies 118-85 on Saturday afternoon.

LeBron James scored 27 points, including 13 in the third quarter, and Chris Bosh had 18 points and 10 rebounds for the Heat (45-21), who improved to 17-19 this season against teams .500 or better.

Miami is 2 1/2 games behind Boston and Chicago in the Eastern Conference.

James did not play in the fourth quarter. He missed his last four shots to finish 10 for 16 from the field as the Heat shot 58 percent. Wade also had nine assists, five rebounds and three steals.

O.J. Mayo had 19 points off the bench, and Mike Conley had 10 assists for the Grizzlies (36-31), who saw their lead over Phoenix shrink to one game for eighth in the Western Conference.

James scored Miami's first seven points of the third quarter as the Heat opened with a 15-6 run to take a 70-43 lead. They led 84-60 after three quarters as The Big Three - James, Wade and Bosh - had 63 of the points.

Miami outscored Memphis 27-15 in the second quarter behind Wade's 10 points. Wade, James and Bosh had 14 apiece in the first half.

Wade had four blocks in the first quarter, and James had 11 points and four assists as the Heat took a 28-22 lead.

Miami has won two straight after it snapped a five-game losing streak with a 94-88 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday.
