Kevin Martin scored 34 points and Chuck Hayes recorded his first triple-double with 13 points, 14 rebounds and a career-high 11 assists as the Houston Rockets kept pace in the Western Conference by easily dispatching the visiting Golden State Warriors, 131-112, on Wednesday.

Courtney Lee added 25 points and Luis Scola chipped in 20 points and 10 rebounds for the Rockets (38-34), who have won five straight and remain two games behind the Memphis Grizzlies for the eighth and final playoff spot in the West.

All five Houston starters finished in double figures in scoring despite sitting out large portions of the fourth quarter due to the large lead.

The Rockets outscored the Warriors in every quarter, gradually extending the lead as they flexed their offensive muscles by shooting 51 percent from the floor, including 12 of 26 from beyond the arc, and recording assists on 35 field goals.

Houston heads out on the road for three straight against Eastern Conference teams as it tries to make up the gap on the Grizzlies.

Dorell Wright scored 34 points for Golden State (30-42), which clinched its third straight losing season.
