Hornets 91, Grizzlies 83: Ryan Anderson hit three of his seven 3-pointers in the fourth quarter and finished with 22 points as visiting New Orleans took over down the stretch and knocked off Memphis.

Jason Smith added 16 points, Anthony Davis scored 10 and Al-Farouq Aminu collected nine points and 12 rebounds for the Hornets, who held the Grizzlies to 36.4 percent shooting after allowing their previous four opponents to average 106.8 points.

Zach Randolph recorded 20 points and 13 rebounds and Marc Gasol added 14 points and 11 boards as Memphis failed to pick up a third straight win.

The Grizzlies took a 68-64 lead into the fourth quarter and were still within a point with under five minutes left when New Orleans began to take control. Eric Gordon made a layup, Smith hit two straight jumpers and Anderson buried a 3-pointer to make up a 9-0 run.

Gasol stopped the surge with a basket but Greivis Vasquez made a jumper and was fouled at the other end. He completed the three-point play to make it 89-78 with 1:44 left.

GAME NOTEBOOK:
Anderson did not record a field-goal attempt inside the arc and went 7-for-13 from 3-point range and 1-for-2 from the foul line. … Memphis leading scorer Rudy Gay was held to 10 points on 3-of-17 shooting. He has struggled to 29.3 percent shooting over his last five games. … Grizzlies starting PG Mike Conley suffered a sprained left ankle in the first quarter and did not return.
