Aaron Rodgers threw three touchdowns in the first half and Charles Woodson returned an interception for another score as the Green Bay Packers held on for a 28-26 victory over the visiting Detroit Lions on Sunday.
The Packers (3-1) were outgained 431-261 but still won their 10th straight in the series and 20th consecutive home contest against the Lions. Detroit has lost 23 straight road games overall.
Rodgers threw just nine times in the opening half, but three went for touchdowns - to Donald Driver, tight end Jermichael Finley and Greg Jennings - as Green Bay built a 21-14 edge.
Woodson’s sixth interception - and third returned for a touchdown - in his last five games in this series early in the third quarter provided Green Bay a 28-14 lead.
However, Detroit (0-4) refused to die and Jason Hanson kicked four field goals before Woodson broke up a third-down pass inside Packers territory on the Lions' last drive.
Detroit quarterback Shaun Hill completed 34 of 54 passes for 331 yards. He had 23- and 21-yard scoring passes to Calvin Johnson in the first half.
