Alexandre Texier scored the go-ahead goal in the third period, Oliver Bjorkstrand had a goal and an assist, and the Columbus Blue Jackets notched their first win by edging the host Detroit Red Wings 3-2 on Monday.
Pierre-Luc Dubois also scored for Columbus, which lost its first two games against Nashville. Joonas Korpisalo made 35 saves.
Bobby Ryan scored twice for Detroit while Thomas Greiss stopped 26 shots.
Ryan scored seven minutes into the contest off a faceoff in the Blue Jackets zone. Michael Rasmussen won the faceoff against Nick Foligno and Ryan whistled a shot from the right circle past Korpisalo on the stick side.
Columbus' Seth Jones had a penalty shot with 10:24 left in the period after Marc Staal hooked him on a breakaway. But Greiss swiped the puck away when Jones attempted a backhander.
Bjorkstrand tied the game with 4:49 remaining in the second period. He scored from the slot after Boone Jenner ripped a shot from the point that was blocked by Rasmussen. Michael Del Zotto was credited with the second assist.
With Ryan in the penalty box for tripping early in the third, the Blue Jackets' Emil Bemstrom banged a shot off the crossbar.
With 14:50 left, Columbus took the lead 2-1 on Texier's goal. He scored on a wraparound, as his attempt to stuff the puck inside the goalpost worked when it deflected off defenseman Patrik Nemeth's skate. Bjorkstrand was credited with an assist.
Dubois made a 3-1 on a breakaway with 13:34 left. Dubois got behind the defense during a line change and flipped the puck past Greiss into the upper portion of the net. The goal was set up by Mikhail Grigorenko's lead pass.
Vladislav Gavrikov committed a tripping penalty with 7:26 left but Detroit failed to get off a shot during the power play.
Staal ripped a shot off the goalpost with 3 1/2 minutes left.
Ryan tallied his second goal on a slap shot with 56.8 seconds left. The puck was pushed into the net when a Columbus defender shoved Ryan in the goal crease.
