Mark Scheifele scored twice, including the game-winner on a two-on-one break 54 seconds into overtime, as the Winnipeg Jets rallied to defeat the host Seattle Kraken 3-2 Sunday night.
Scheifele took a pass from Josh Morrissey and fired a shot into the upper right corner of the net as the Jets won for the seventh time in their past nine games (7-1-1).
With Winnipeg goalie David Rittich pulled for the extra skater, Blake Wheeler scored his 300th career NHL goal on the power play to tie the score with 5.2 seconds left.
Kyle Connor had two assists for the Jets and Rittich made 19 saves.
Jordan Eberle and Brandon Tanev scored for Seattle, which is 5-1-1 in its past seven games. Martin Jones made 27 saves.
The Kraken took a 2-1 lead on Tanev's goal at 7:02 of the third. Teammate Yanni Gourde stole the puck just inside Seattle's own blue line, starting a three-on-two rush. Tanev carried the puck into the offensive zone on the right wing, cut back toward the middle and scored on a low wrist shot from the high slot. Oliver Bjorkstrand also was credited with an assist.
Eberle appeared to give the Kraken a two-goal lead with just over seven minutes left, but it was ruled he knocked the puck into the net with a high stick.
The Kraken opened the scoring as Eberle tallied on a two-man advantage at 7:30 of the first period. Vince Dunn's shot from the high slot pinballed off some skates out front and the puck fell to Eberle, who spun and banged it into the net before Rittich could react. Andre Burakovsky also got an assist on the goal.
The Jets tied it on the power play at 10:52 of the second. Sam Gagner's shot from the high slot went wide right of the net but took a lively bounce off the end boards. The puck came back out to Scheifele in the left faceoff circle, and he poked a one-timer into the open side of the net.
The Kraken wore their new reverse retro jerseys that paid tribute to the Seattle Ironmen, who played in the Pacific Coast Hockey League from 1944-52.
